I am more of a confident beginner with good color sense. I really like all the information in here - not sure if an advanced quilter would need it, but very useful for anyone who has questions about techniques about literally anything to do with sewing a quilt, buying thread, buying fabric, what size needles you need and more.I am reading the whole book just to get the basics in my head so I can look up what I need later. This is well written from how to make blocks to figuring out what size thread to buy. Very comprehensive.I would highly recommend this to anyone starting quilting or even fairly competent - there is always more to learn!

As a beginning quilter, I find this book invaluable for answering all the questions that pop up during the process. It's not a step by step quilting tutorial, but a great 'pocket guide' that I have turned to repeatedly, and found just the information I needed. A wealth of information, and well worth the price. Highly recommended

I Forgot about downloading this book on kindle so when I saw it I opened it and couldn't stop readingfor hours, lots of good tips and tricks, lots of how to's,especially prairie points, she makes it seem like child play!Good for beginners, intermediate, and experienced Quilters, gets right to the point, easy to understand.tells you how to fix a problem without taking thewhole quilt apart. I'm very impressed!buying one for my sister who is just a newbee to quilting!

Good for quilters, excellent reference

I brought this book for myself and found it very helpful. I am new to quilting and am using books and the internet to learn techniques and easier ways of doing things. I liked it that much that I brought another one of these books for a very dear quilting friend.Another quilting book that might be a good buy is "Quilting Tips & Techniques" over 1,000 creative ideas to make your quilting quicker, easier and a lot more fun.I first got this book from the library and liked it that much I brought it through one of amazon's outside suppliers. Only available as a used copy. I also got one for this special quilting friend as she looked at my library one and loved it.

If you are new to quilting or anywhere less than an expert, this book covers a lot of information. How to's, Short cuts, tips... it seems to cover most everything.

I like to use this book to check myself to see if I'm correct. I found only one topic that was not detailed enough. (The book left too much to the quilter's discretion, but isn't that part of why we quilt? We want to add our own creativeness to a project.) I would recommend this book to those who are seasoned quilters, as well as newbies.

I enjoy all of the books in Storey's Answer Book series. I thought it would be difficult to navigate a book of questions and answers but I have not had any problems finding answers when I have questions. This book is also fun and enlightening to read straight through. Every time I open it I get excited to quilt.
